The lake known as Bettmersee, nestled in a shallow basin, is only 10 minutes from the village center. A convenient trail which easily accommodates baby carriages and strollers takes you all the way around the lake, past fishermen and picnic areas with fire pits (wood and toilet facilities available). You can rent a rowboat or pedal boat for an enjoyable afternoon on the lake, and go for a refreshing swim in the cool water. The boat hire station is open daily from 10 AM until 5 PM from mid-June until mid-October (weather permitting).
There is also a natural paddle pool for children and a beach volleyball field. |
